	Pittsburgh Council previously a member of American Youth Hostels
	To provide inexpensive educational travel, intercultural understanding, and an understanding of the natural environment through hostels, hostelling, and outdoor recreation.

Bicycling

Pittsburgh Council provides bicycle rides for riders of all ages.

These were touring rides to "see the world".
Helmets were required on all Council Rides.
Be sure to call the ride leader, a day or two before the ride.

During the year there were several weekend trips:

Stanford House Hostel in Ohio -
Niagara Falls -
Ohiopyle Hostel
Wilderness Lodge

Check the current newsletter for a list. We invite others to lead a favorite ride also. If you have one you would like to share, contact Joan Roolf at (412)351-2061 . We were most interested in enjoying the camaraderie, and leisurely pace of a touring ride.
